SmithGroup prototypes sleek pod that doubles as public toilet, retail space, and more

The firm's entry to the San Francisco Department of Public Works' (DPW) design competition calling for "the conceptualization of industrial art that would double as toilets," was selected as the winner. 

The design, called AmeniTREES, is a multi-functional kit of parts capable of transforming based on its needed use. They can be used for advertising, restrooms, and even retail space.
