The design and cultural influencer shares her top tricks for creating a serene, modern oasis in even the smallest of spaces, and shares inspiration for her ultimate dream bathroom.
When it comes to rest and relaxation, there’s no denying Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton knows a thing or two about designing spaces that are aimed to soothe. Founder and CEO of Chillhouse—the laid-back cafe/day spa in New York City’s Lower East Side—Cyndi has made it her mission to create a calming, zenful setting for those looking to escape the harried pace of the Big Apple. With the highly celebrated "destination for modern self-care" being her brainchild, it’s no wonder that the contemporary, tranquil vibes can also be found in Cyndi’s apartment she shares with her husband in the city’s West Village.
"I love our home because we are so comfortable here, and I am always making tweaks to make it better and better," says Cyndi. "Our home is my escape; it’s truly become my sanctuary."
One of her favorite spaces in their bright, airy one-bedroom abode is the bathroom. Despite its small size, the design and cultural influencer explains how she’s been able to cultivate it into her personal oasis by prioritizing organization and storage. "It’s important to learn what works aesthetically for you when it comes to organization," Cyndi adds.
