Le Creuset Cooks Up Two New Colorways—and a Flash Sale to Boot

Architecture 2-4-2020 DWell 321

The much-loved cookware company unveils Licorice and Stone, and launches its inaugural Factory to Table sale event.

Two dark and stony shades make up Le Creuset’s seasonal spring colors, inspired by the rugged beauty of nature. The first is Licorice, their deepest matte yet, sweetened with just a glimmer of sheen and accented with a cool, stainless handle. The second is Stone, an ultra-modern gray with rock-solid appeal, colored by texture and crafted to endure; it serves as a foundational piece or the main event.

In addition, Le Creuset is taking its highly-anticipated Factory to Table event series online for the first time ever. Launching today, the inaugural digital flash sale will take place while supplies last. Products range from cast iron collector’s items to rare pieces from the Le Creuset vault.

Take a peek at the new shades on their signature cookware below.

Le Creuset Round Dutch Oven

The iconic Le Creuset Dutch oven is indispensable in the kitchens of home cooks and professional chefs alike. Long recognized for its strength and durability, cast iron is the prime material for slow-cooking, braising and roasting, thanks to its ability to maintain even and consistent heat. The enameled Dutch oven needs no seasoning, and it’s suitable for both stovetop and oven use. Le Creuset produced the first enameled cast iron cookware nearly a century ago, and the original foundry still operates today, where 15 skilled artisans hand-inspect each piece. This tradition of the finest culinary craftsmanship, combined with the latest innovations in comfort and functionality, make Le Creuset unsurpassed in both beauty and quality. Le Creuset Braiser

The enameled cast iron braiser is uniquely designed for maximum performance, transforming tough cuts of meat and hearty vegetables into tender, flavorful dishes. Food is first seared over high heat, then finished slowly in a flavorful liquid. The wide base of the braiser allows ingredients to be placed in a single layer for proper searing; once liquid is added, the domed lid continuously circulates steam to lock in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset produced the first enameled cast iron cookware nearly a century ago, and the original foundry still operates today, where 15 skilled artisans hand-inspect each piece. Le Creuset Signature Saucepan

The smoothly curved interior and rounded base of the Signature saucepan make sauce making easier than ever. An extended helper handle and a contoured main handle also provide added control when transferring cookware on the stovetop or between the kitchen and the table. Crafted of durable cast iron and protected by Le Creuset's enhanced enameling, the Signature saucepan provides the optimal medium for sauce making with its precise and responsive temperature control properties. In fact, cast iron has long been used by chefs around the world to achieve the steady low-to-medium heat required for building delicate sauces. Photo Courtesy of Le Creuset

Le Creuset Signature Skillet

Cast iron skillets are indispensable in the kitchens of home cooks and professional chefs alike. The interior surface of a Le Creuset skillet is finished with a matte black enamel that eliminates the need for the traditional seasoning and maintenance of raw cast iron. Specially formulated for high-surface temperature cooking, the enamel develops a natural patina over time that is ideal for searing, sauteing and frying. Le Creuset produced the first enameled cast iron cookware nearly a century ago, and the original foundry still operates today, where 15 skilled artisans hand-inspect each piece.
