HAY is a Danish design company established in 2002 by Mette and Rolf Hay, who were driven by a desire to create straightforward, functional and beautiful products for modern living. Drawing from the best of architecture and fashion, the HAY designers’ favorite tools are innovation, technology and color. The Slit Table is a simple side table, like paper origami reimagined in metal, named after the slit that appears when the frame is folded underneath the tabletop. Use one on its own, or arrange in pairs or clusters. Made in China. Photo Courtesy of Design Within Reach

Normann Copenhagen Case Coffee Table - Large

Case is a collection of coffee tables in aluminum and oak that interprets the classic nesting tables. The Case tables have a youthful and functional form, which represents the refined industrial design approach that is designer Hans Hornemann's signature. Case is available in two complimentary sizes, where the smaller table can be put under the larger one and pulled out as needed. Hans Hornemann got the idea for the design from the simple flight cases that are used to transport sound equipment for concerts and have very strong aluminum frames. The small Case tables have lighter shades of the larger table's colors, which serve to create an elegant visual connection between the tables. With their delicate symphonies of color, the Case coffee tables are an easy way to bring a little color into your decor. Photo Courtesy of HORNE

It is made entirely out of galvanized and powder coated iron wire, in an airy looking geometric weave that belies its strength. Since 2010, Bend Goods has reshaped people's perceptions of mid-century modern design with the bright colors, appealing forms and sustainable production of all of their furniture and home accessories. By using a specialized process of "bending" metal wire, Bend makes sure that its products are structurally strong, uniquely geometric and fun. Normann Copenhagen Steady Table

Steady is a modern take on the classic nesting tables, made from powder-coated steel and aluminum. For the design of Steady, designer Hans Hornemann has taken inspiration from the Romanesque architecture. The view in through the arches of a Romanesque arcade is interpreted in the tables’ arched legs, and in the repetition of contours as the two tables meet. The table's lines shift from sharp to soft in a formal twist that gives the minimal design a dynamic appearance. The recurring arches are counteracted by narrow profiles in a vigorous construction that stands out as a central part of Steady’s visual expression. A wide steel frame and over-sized cylinders fix the table's elements, making it shapely, strong and steady. Photo Courtesy of HORNE

West Elm Mid-Century Art Display Coffee Table
