Laufs Engineering Design is an exciting, young, growing NYC engineering firm specializing in specialty structures, facades, and unusual mid-size projects.  We are seeking an innovative, creative, independent, and, most critically, a technically oriented designer to support our world class high rise building envelope projects.  We are currently supporting clients like SHoP architects, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Morris Adjmi, ODA and many more.  The ideal candidate loves solving spatial problems, can manage a small team, is resourceful, and has extensive experience in façades and waterproofing, including in-depth knowledge of products, assembly types, and structure. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Interacting with clients during design assist, schematic design, and design development to understand façade needs and assist with design decision-making.
