What is Stranger Things about?

The show is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana during the 1980s. In the first season of the show, the story revolves around the secret research conducted in the Hawkins Laboratory, where a young girl, Eleven, is the test subject of supernatural powers and paranormal activity. Unknowingly, the researchers manage to open a door to another dimension, called “The Upside Down”. After the disappearance of a child, Will, and Eleven’s escape from the lab, the town folks have to fight against powers they don’t understand. So, three young boys – Mike, Dustin and Lucas, with the help of their older siblings – Nancy and Jonathan, Will’s mom – Joyce and the town’s sheriff – Jim Hopper, against all odds, have to uncover the truth behind Hawkins Laboratory and help Eleven deal with her powers.

During the second season of the show our main protagonists find out that there is a much larger threat looming over the town of Hawkins. Not only do they need to deal with the aftermath of everything that happened in season 1 and their own growth, they also need to figure out a way to shut down The Upside Down once and for all.

The third season of the show centers around the relationships between the main characters. And, just as they think everything is okay, a secret Soviet organisation is trying to open the portal to the other dimension. Having suffered before our protagonists are not going to let this happen. And, against all odds, they outsmart their opponents once again.

Good news for all the fans of the show is that there will be a Season 4 and it is set to air sometime in 2021. Yes, it is a long wait, but it will definitely be worth it, especially after that teaser peaked our interest.
