Safdie Architects seeking Operations Manager in Somerville, MA, US

Safdie Architects is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support the firm’s Principals in the running of their international architectural practice. The position requires an individual adept at both practice management and project management, with excellent creativity and a proven capacity for excelling in highly collaborative environments.

Specific areas of focus for the Operations Manager include:

• Monitoring prospective and existing projects to ensure sufficient talent capability mix
• Working with Principals to determine proper allocation and staffing assignments
• Monitoring and managing staff utilization and productivity
• Developing and monitoring project work plans including milestones, workflow, staffing and project budgets (using Deltek’s Resource Planning Module)
• Assisting Project Managers with project kick-off, phase-start internal team meetings and contract management throughout course of project, including the preparation of applications for additional services
