Position Responsibilities:

The New School is a progressive university with exceptional strengths in design and liberal and performing arts, located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. The office of Space Planning in the department of Buildings plays a critical role in support of its academic mission through planning, managing, assessing and recording the University’s diverse and continuously evolving space inventory comprised of about 30 buildings occupying about 1.5 million square feet of space. The position of Space Planner reports to the Director of Space Planning.

• Maintain a complete and up-to-date data base of plans and room attributes for the entire University space inventory
• Prepare and present space use statistics, customized analysis, floor plans and space data in graphic formats
